We performed spin balance on the spacecraft the last week in May. The
spacecraft was in launch configuration for this test. By spinning the
spacecraft on a special table, called a Miller Table, we can determine the
center of mass and the moments of intertia.
In order to properly measure the mass properties, the spacecraft must be
spun horizontally as well as vertically. This sequence of pictures shows the
turn-over operation, the horizontal lift, and the horizontal spin balance.
